DETROIT - Motown great, Smokey Robinson, has announced a special hometown concert. It just happens to be scheduled on a date which will be one of the most historically chaotic entertainment days ever in Detroit. Robinson will perform at the Fox Theatre in downtown Detroit on Saturday, August 5th. The show will celebrate 35 years since the Detroit native performed at the Fox as part of its grand reopening on November 19, 1988. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 12 at 10 a.m. Robinson's concert will take place the same night as another Michigan living legend, Madonna , is set to take the stage down the street at Little Caesars Arena.
